Classes 1-5 - Complete Farms
Conditions
The Competition is open to Cheshire Farmers whose homesteads are within the County at the time of entry and which are wholly farmed by the entrant.
Competitors who have more than one farm may enter one or more farm(s) provided each farm is run as a complete unit.
Total acreage of land occupied shall be declared and all land being farmed by the entrant on the day of judging must be declared and be judged.
Competitors shall exhibit all their livestock and crops whether on the farm or not, except where the animals are being reared on contract.
Please refer also to the leaflet “Schedule of Classes” which contains General Conditions applicable to all classes. Only one class may be entered in any year

- W/C 27TH JUNE - Judging will take Place
- TBC - Annual Presentation of Awards Dinner
First prize winners are re-judged for the Supreme Champion shortly afterwards.
An Open Farm walk over the Supreme Champion farm will take place and dates advertised.
Assessment
The following points will be taken into consideration by the judges during the tour of inspection:

The condition of farmstead, hedges, ditches and fences; conservation, set aside. (In the interests of conservation points may be deducted for unnecessary hedge cutting) |

Awards
- Duke of Westminister Challenge Cup - For holdings exceeding 601 acres.
- Lord Leverhulme Challenge Cup - For holdings 351-600 acres.
- Strutt & Parker Challenge Cup - For holdings less than 350 acres.
- The ECM trophy – Non-Dairy Farms - For holdings having no income from the sale of milk. (Any size).
- Combined West & East Cheshire Councils Tenanted Farms Challenge Cup Sponsored by Whittaker and Biggs - Holding any size but land rented from either Council must exceed that rented from additional sources. All land judged

N.B. The winner of the Supreme Championship is not eligible to compete in the Farms Class 1-5 in the following year.
