Class 23 - Diversification
A class to reward the most original Farm based enterprise to supplement the income from traditional Agriculture.
An award for an enterprise which adds value to the existing farming business which, although it may have nothing to do with traditional agricultural practices, may be successfully integrated into the farming business.
There are no limitations to the Diversification Class except that, at the time of Judging, entries are still part of the farm income.
Examples of Diversification enterprises would include - Bed and Breakfast; Pony Trekking/Livery; Conversion of redundant buildings to producing income from outside sources; fishing and other sports, sales and promotion, floral art, catering, craft work.
