The judge will award marks for each of the following aspects:-
Density and uniformity of the crop.
Disease control.
Weed control.
Potential yield of the crop.
Inputs (chemicals/fertiliser) used related to potential yield Soil type, previous cropping and use of organic manure (F.Y.M./slurry) will be taken into account.
The winner will receive the “Agrovista UK Ltd Cup” to retain for one year and in addition, painted oak shields are presented as permanent mementos to the first three placings in each class.
