Farm Open Evening and Awards Evening

GARNETT FARMS SUPREME FARM CHAMPIONS

We have had a very successful competition this year, with a whole range of classes being judged from livestock to crops to whole farms. The whole farm competition comprises of 5 separate farm classes, Farms over 60 acres, Farms 350-600 acres, Farms under 350 acres, Non Dairy and CCC Farms.  The winner of each class progressed to the supreme farm class, which saw Matt Ryan, of Oxbury Bank, tasked with judging the final 5.  The Garnett Family were announced as the winners of the supreme farm class and kindly hosted an open evening for us all to view their farm. There was an exceptional turnout which contributed to an excellent evening had by all.  The Garnett family enlightened us on their business history and current farming techniques.  A very informative evening followed by refreshments and socialising.  On the evening, Sharon Mayer, representing the Cheshire Agricultural Chaplaincy received a cheque for £375 which had been raised from the raffle at the Garden Open Evening, kindly hosted by Allan and Susan Broster.  .
